Great Date Ideas For Active People

Many people connect over hobbies and interests.  For those who love to be and stay active, it is common that you have many of the same interests.  Not only that, living here in beautiful Colorado, you almost have to find some sort of interest in being active.  Through those interests and a initial connection of meeting someone, you might want to see where that connection can go via a date.  Why not?  Common interests and doing something physical with someone you find interesting can really lead you somewhere.

Here are 3 Great Date Ideas For Active People

  1. Indoor Rock Climbimg – This is great because it requires you to work together.  Depending on how well you work together can be a sign of how a potential relationship would work between the two of you.  A couple is essentially a team, and if you can work well as a team then maybe you both can take on the whole world for the rest of your lives.  Activities like this can demonstrate desirable characteristics in the other.  Plus, you can show the other your strength and what you are made of which can lead to sparks flying.  There are plenty of places to go to in Colorado Springs.  Sport Climbing Center in Colorado Springs is open  MONDAY-FRIDAY 11AM-10PM SATURDAY-SUNDAY 11AM-8PM.  Great for a fun Friday night.
  2. Hiking – Is a great way to connect and have wonderful conversation without the interruption of noise and distractions.  There is something pure about taking a hike in nature.  It often allows people to be more raw and allows people to let their guard down.  This is a great way to get to know someone on a deeper level while being active.  There are many hiking trails in the Springs, but our favorite is Red Rock Canyon Open Space.
  3.  Dance Lessons – Dance lessons are a great way to have some fun while learning about something you both might not know about.  In Colorado Springs there is Salsa Thursdays downtown.  You and your date can learn Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Cumbia! The lesson runs from 8:30 to 9:30, and covers basic Salsa steps, and then open dancing lasts the rest of the night. It is a very casual environment and is not intimidating at all, which is really important for first dates.  The last thing you want to do is feel (or make your date) intimidated.

Physical activity is a great way to build chemistry and really get to know someone on a first date.  Cheers to getting a little physical!
